Series Hull Production

Hull capacity for your next series. We produce your hull design in series, with automated production that scales with your demand, not with scarce skilled labour.
Angular unmanned surface vessel with a sensor mast, built on a 3D printed hull

Hull capacity for your next series. We produce your hull design in series, with automated production that scales with your demand, not with scarce skilled labour. Built for USV builders, workboat builders and professional fleets.

How it works:

  1. Design review. You share your hull design or concept. We check it for production and advise on shape, structure and integration points.
  2. First hull. We prepare your design for production and print the first hull for testing and fit-out.
  3. Series production. Once approved, we produce your series with consistent quality and short lead times.

Why build your series with us

‍Hulls that take impacts without cracking, need no paint and don't corrode. Durable and recyclable. No mould to build, so design changes don't mean retooling. Production capacity now, without the need of skilled labour or investing in your own production equipment.

Not the right fit:

One-off hulls, consumer boats, painted or coloured finishes, and weight- or efficiency-critical designs.

Our technology has already been put to the test with partners across the maritime and defence sector. Our team's roots go back to CEAD, where they worked with the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Maritime Application Center to print a full-size RIB-style hull in 8 days. Work that led to an invitation to a NATO exercise to demonstrate rapid 3D-printed USV production. Dutch Boat Factory continues work initiated at CEAD. Such as its collaboration with Damen Compact Crafts to develop a 3D-printed HDPE workboat, exploring how additive manufacturing can make shipbuilding faster, more flexible and more sustainable.

For SEARUSH — MARIN's programme developing scalable, 3D-printed unmanned surface vessels for the Royal Netherlands Navy — Dutch Boat Factory printed the hull in under a week.
