The Dutch Boat Factory was founded in response to a growing problem in the Netherlands. Despite our nation’s long and proud history of boat building, we are rapidly losing production capacity. Skilled labour is scarce, increasingly expensive, and less willing to work in traditional, labour-intensive and often dirty boatbuilding processes.
As the leadership team behind CEAD, the company known for building large scale 3D printers, we saw this challenge firsthand when working with the industry. We realised that we have the technology and experience to provide a modern solution for our own maritime industry.
With the Dutch Boat Factory, we are restoring production capacity by combining automated manufacturing with sustainable thermoplastic composites. We take pride in building boats and hulls that support the future of Dutch boatbuilding: strong, clean and ready for the next generation.
We believe it is important to contribute to a solution that keeps the Netherlands relevant as a maritime nation. By providing strategic and scalable production capacity, we help ensure that our industry can continue to innovate and meet the demands of these critical times.
It is our mission to provide competitive boat building capacity for the Netherlands and its allies. By building and operating local boat factories.
